Every card transaction carries a merchant category code (MCC) — a four-digit code the merchant's acquiring bank assigns to say what kind of business billed you. Your bank uses it to label the charge, and it is often the fastest clue to what a cryptic descriptor really is. Below, the charges cardholders look up on WhoBilled.me, grouped by that code.
